As the days turn shorter and cooler, the CCC is once again preparing for winter storms through flood training sessions throughout the state. I had the opportunity to see corpsmembers learn these techniques at a training session Nov. 14 in Sacramento, sponsored by the Dept. of Water Resources. Later this month, I’ll be exploring pre-apprenticeship programs with the Fairfield Carpenter’s Training Center, as a pilot opportunity for corpsmembers.
